Utah
The Utah Public Art Program announces a new call for
qualifications and a letter of interest from artists and/or artist
teams interested in creating site-specific art for the new Digital
Learning Center at Utah Valley State College in Orem, Utah. It is the
intent of the committee to commission art for this new facility that
is part of the College focus on modern, contemporary culture and
media.

City of Wilmington, DE: Justison Landing Redevelopment Project

Budget: $200,000 – not-to-exceed $500,000
The City of Wilmington in conjunction with the Riverfront Development Corporation, Public Arts Committee, Delaware Department of Transportation, and Riverfront Design Team is seeking artists or artist teams to participate in a competitive design process for the creation of a public sculpture. This sculpture will serve as the focal point of a newly designed urban plaza, which is part of Justison Landing, a new 33-acre urban redevelopment on the Christina River. Interested artists or artist teams are invited to submit their qualifications, in required format, to the selection committee no later than March 23, 2007. New Mexico Energy Minerals and Natural Resources Department (EMNRD), State Parks Division

The EMNRD, State Parks Division wishes to commission an interior mediation pedestal and sculpture for the Vietnam Veterans Memorial State Park Peace and Brotherhood Chapel located at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial State Park, north of Angel Fire, NM (27 miles east of Taos). The artwork will be the focal point of the interior of Chapel. The concept and impression to be embodied and conveyed by this artwork is based on honor, tranquility, healing, peace and brotherhood to all mankind. This was the first major Memorial established in the United States to honor Vietnam veterans and has drawn worldwide attention as a place of healing for those affected by the Vietnam conflict.
