Memphis gained its newest mural along the Greenline over the past few weeks as UrbanArt's Siphne Sylve designed this piece for the old abandoned train tunnel between Perkins and Mendenhall. Installed with the help of volunteers and the collaborative assistance of the Shelby Farms Park Conservancy, this 'I Love Memphis' mural was co-sponsored by the Memphis Convention and Visitors Bureau, and the City of Memphis. Additional funding was provided through a grant from ArtsMemphis.
The installation of Siphne's original design would not be possible without the help of volunteers who believe the murals make Memphis a better place to live. Thank you to Rory-Ann Austin, Angel Bonesteel, Maysa Sem, Jeff Muncy, Alexis Krauss, Kezia Snipe, and Brandon Tolson!
